I live just outside London and am a regular visitor (in fact our parent company’s registered office is in the City of London). Over the years I have seen a transformation of the traditionally low-rise skyline into a city of unique and marvellous structures. In the 1990s the Canary Wharf cluster of skyscrapers grew out Docklands, and since the turn of the century the city has seen iconic buildings appear, many with affectionate nicknames: The Gherkin, The Shard, The Heron Tower and still under construction are The Walkie Talkie and The Cheesegrater.
Viewing these buildings from street level is spectacular enough, but from the air they are even more amazing.
